Occupational Therapy (OT) is a client-centered health profession focused on enabling individuals of all ages to participate in the activities—or “occupations”—that are meaningful to them. These occupations can include daily self-care routines, work, play, education, and social participation.

Occupational therapists use therapeutic activities and interventions to help individuals develop, regain, or maintain the skills needed for daily functioning and independence. OT addresses physical, sensory, cognitive, emotional, and environmental challenges that may interfere with a person’s ability to perform everyday tasks.
